(Ames, IA) – Jackson Paveletzke, former Iowa State Cyclone guard, has announced that he is entering the transfer portal. The sophomore played just one season with the Cyclones and averaged five minutes per game.
Paveltzke averaged 3.4 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game with Iowa State this season. He came over to Iowa State earlier in the summer after playing at Wofford. The Wisconsin native previously earned the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year Award while at Wofford and was named to the All-Frosh and All-Conference team.
He didn’t put too much down on the scorebook this season for the Cyclones as he played no more than his average towards the end of February and looks to get a new opportunity somewhere else in Divison-I basketball.
With Paveletzke adding his name to the transfer portal, he is one of the first for an Iowa State team that made the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons under Head Coach T.J. Otzelberger.
