(Greenfield, IA) — AC/GC will head to play Nodaway Valley tonight in Class A, District 7.
The Chargers are 2-0 and are staying with their bread and butter — the running game. However, they caught everybody by surprise when they threw the ball on the first play of the game last week in a 20-7 win over Southwest Valley. Head Coach Will Shull says he has confidence in Sophomore Andrew Baumert to sling it every now and then
Will Skram had another interception last week giving him four for the season but do not be surprised if Shull finds a way to get the ball in his hands more on offense
Shull says that despite the Wolverines record, they have some speed and some playmakers and it starts with QB Titan Foster
Nodaway Valley Head Coach Skip Eckhardt says Christensen bring his best on every play
Eckhardt says the biggest reason for the slow start is the execution up front
Eckhardt is well familiar with AC/GC’s triple option running attack and he says everybody on defense will have to be in sync
Eckhardt says you have to identify quickly who has the ball for the Chargers and do not let him get behind you
AC/GC is 2-0, Nodaway Valley is 0-2.
