(Afton) The Atlantic Archery teams posted another impressive performance on Saturday. The High School and Middle School Teams won the 3D and Bullseye Tournament at East Union.
Grant Petty shot lights, winning both the 3D and Bullseye events. The freshman shot 297 in 3D and 296 in Bullseye. Petty’s scores rank number one nationally in 3D and tied for first in the nation in Bullseye.
The High School team won the 3D competition with 1,673, Orient-Macksburg, 1,586, Creston, 1,561, East Union, 1,466, and Nodaway Valley, 1,405.
Petty posted the top individual score of 297, Hank Roberts finished fourth with 280, Zander Pieken seventh with 274, and Jacoby Wood ninth with 273. Madeline Blake won the girl’s division with a 276, Elynor Brummer, third, 272, Miraylie Stuart, seventh, 265, and Mariah Hadley, eighth, 264.
The Atlantic Middle School won the 3D Tournament with a score of 1,575. Jacoby Wood led the boys’ division with a fourth-place 273, and Wyatt Hoover was seventh with a 266. Paislee Klever led the girl’s team with a third-place score of 263, Rylan Martin, sixth, 256, and Talia Hoover, ninth, with a score of 241.
The Atlantic High School Shooters topped the Bullseye Field with a 3335. Petty won the individual title with a 296, Hank Roberts was runner-up with a score of 287, and Kyler Edie was in tenth place with a 278. Madeline Blake posted another first-place finish in the girl’s division with a 284. Elynor Brummer finished third with a 278, Miraylie Stuart fourth, 278, Lily Johnson eighth, 275, and Lily Wilrich tenth with a score of 274.
The Atlantic Middle School won the Bullseye Tourney with a team score 3,128. Wyatt Hoover led the boys’ team with fifth place, 281; Grady Roberts, 272; and Jacoby Wood, ninth with a score of 272. Rylan Martin led the girls’ shooters with a third-place 274, and Paislee Klever finished ninth with a 263.
