(Undated) — The largest teachers union in the state of Iowa, along with Penguin Random House Publishing, are suing Iowa over its new law related to explicit content in books in schools. The lawsuit claims the act violates the First and 14th amendments.
The suit also includes four authors whose books have been removed from schools, two teachers, a school librarian, a high school student, and a parent.
Earlier this week, the A-C-L-U of Iowa also announced a lawsuit against the law.
