(Audubon, IA) – The Audubon Wheelers volleyball team continues to make strides towards perfection as the Wheelers are entering their last home contest of the regular season. On Tuesday, the Wheelers earned a close 3-0 match over AHSTW and face Logan-Magnolia tonight. Head coach Brandi Gruhn looks to keep the success heading in the right direction.
The combination of Mattie Nielsen and Addie Hocker has been one that favors the Wheelers this season. In the last match alone, Addie had 29 assists while Mattie had 10 kills. They are both team leaders on the court and in the stat sheets.
In the last game against the Lady Vikes, Harlow Miller had an impressive performance at the net and in the serving game. With 13 kills and 14 aces in the last game and with 178 kills and 42 aces this season, Miller has been an impactful force that teams have the tough test facing against.
The serving game for the Wheelers has been the game of aggressiveness. While many teams look to improve their serving efficiency to win matches, Audubon relies on their serving aggressiveness while hitting their spots to keep them in matches this season.
Audubon will take on Logan-Magnolia tonight before the Western Iowa Conference Tournament next week and are ready to play in their last home game of the regular season.
The Wheelers will host Logan-Magnolia in a home match tonight with the opening serve at 7:30 p.m.
