(Onawa) The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating a shooting death in Onawa.
At approximately 5:42 p.m. on Friday, May 10, the Monona County Communication Center received a 911 call for a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Granite Street in Onawa.
Deputies arrived and located a deceased female, later identified as 47-year-old Stacey Allen. 48-year-old Jamie Allen was taken into custody without incident by the Monona County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Monona County Jail.
Jamie Allen has been charged with Murder in the 1st Degree, a Class A Felony. The Monona County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
