(Menlo Park, CA) Facebook users have less than one month to apply for their share of a 725 million dollar settlement over privacy violations. The largest class action of its kind centered around the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The law firm that brought the class action sued over Facebook’s role in improper data sharing with a consultancy firm used by Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Anyone who had an active Facebook account from May 2007 to December 2022 should visit Facebook user privacy settlement dot com [[ facebookuserprivacysettlement.com ]] to sign up to receive a payment. The Cambridge Analytica scandal cost Meta, Facebook’s parent company, a lot more money. The Federal Trade Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission fined the company five-point-one-billion dollars on top of the settlement.
