(Davenport) The Diocese of Davenport has removed a priest from the ministry after the Diocese was made aware of a history of inappropriate sexual behavior with a minor. John Stack was accused of abuse in 2013, dating to the 1980s. He was removed from the practice until a church trial reinstated Stack in 2016. He has served in more than 15 parishes and institutions throughout his career in the United States and Canada. The Diocese removed Stack from the ministry as they investigated the allegations further. Scott and Clinton’s counties were also notified.
