(Atlantic) Roth Den Beste medaled and Tristan Hayes finished runner-up and led Atlantic to a victory over Red Oak, and Shenandoah in a triangular golf tournament at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club on Thursday.
Den Beste and Hayes both shot 37. Tate Niklasen shot 40, Sam Brosam carded a 41, Trevan Hansen 41, and Hudson McLaren finished with a 43.
Atlantic shot 155, and Red Oak and Shenandoah finished with 193’s.
“I challenged the team, and we needed to have a good round,” said Head Coach Ed Den Beste. “It was great to see both Tristan and Roth shoot well today. They decided to have a play-off to see who was the medalist. Both tied after 3 holes so we ended up scorecarding it.
“Tate had his best round today. Great to see him shoot so well. Sam played well also. Good to see him bring it around after some tough scores earlier this week. Trevan saw some varsity action tonight. Great score for him as well. Hudson had a couple of holes that got him. He knows that he can bring it down. This was our best team score this year. “
