(Atlantic) Atlantic and Harlan matchup for the third time this season tonight in a Class 3A Regional Semi-Final at Atlantic.
The Trojans (18-4), carry a nine-game winning streak into the contest tonight, including a regular season 53-51 win over the Cyclones on February 7. Harlan is (13-7). Harlan won the first meeting 57-46 before the Trojans returned the favor in the regular season finale.
Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason says one big key will be to limit Harlan’s Aubrey Schwieso. The sophomore was 9-of-14 from the field, three-for-four from behind the three-point line, and four-of-six free throws.
Coach Vargason expects Harlan to mix up defenses much like they did the last outing. He says at one point, Coach Klaasen slapped on a box-in-on on Jada Jensen and ran a triangle and two, two-three, and one-three-one zone.
The Trojans have limited teams to an average of 36.2 points per game while scoring 49.2 points per game.
