(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning officially swore in Kathy Somers as County Auditor.
Kathy Somers’ first day on the job was Monday, October 10th.
Somers was appointed following the resignation of Sara Harris. Somers was nominated by the Republican Party to run in the November 8th General Election.
In other activity, the Supervisors moved the first public hearing on the sale of the county owned farm until October 18th since they could not get a publication in the paper on time.
The Supervisors approved the designation posting of meeting agendas. The agendas will be posted on both the door of the entrance on the south side of the courthouse and on the door at the Auditor’s Office.
The Supervisors approved the third and final reading on Ordinance No. Two regarding some changes to the General Relief Assistance Program following a public hearing in which there were no comments.
And, the Supervisors are still searching for individuals interested in filling the Brighton Township Clerk and Washington Township Trustee positions.
