(Audubon) Sunday, October 30th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. has been proclaimed by Mayor Barb Jacobsen as the time to Trick or Treat in Audubon.
Mayor Jacobsen made the announcement during Monday’s City Council meeting. After this year the final Saturday of October from 5-7 will be used for trick or treating.
Elsewhere, the City Council came to an agreement to let Congregate Meals control the kitchen at City Hall. “Basically they use the kitchen quite a bit and they have a lot of their own equipment. They wanted to come to an agreement on some of the control of the equipment to ensure that their equipment is better taken care of. In lieu of some rent we are going to allow them to control who has access to that kitchen.”
City Clerk Joe Foran says at Monday’s meeting the council passed a 2nd reading of the Vicious Dog Amendment. Foran says the council is also working to address an issue with feral cats. “It’s been an issue I think a lot of towns have had. We are just trying to be proactive and take care of the the situation and trying to control the population and get control of the issue.”
