(Atlantic) Atlantic heads to #2 Harlan this Friday night for a Class 3A District #6 football game. The Cyclones won their district opener over Saydel last week, 62-6. The Trojans fell short to ADM 56-27.
This game features two of Class 3A’s top passers and receivers. Harlan’s Teagon Kasperbauer leads Class 3A in passing touchdowns with 15. Atlantic’s Caden Andersen is tied for fourth with 10. Andersen is second in the state in passing yards with 1,057, and Kasperbauer is third with 1,026. Atlantic’s Colton Rasmussen leads all Class 3A with 450 receiving yards, and Cade Sears is third with 421.
When facing Harlan, Coach Brummer says the Cyclones are a well-coached football team with some D1 athletes.
Despite last week’s loss to ADM, the Trojans put up 334-total yards on offense, 211 passing, and 123 rushing.
Coach Brummer says Hedrington suffered a separated shoulder twice in the Shenandoah game a couple of weeks ago.
Coach Brummer is encouraged by the Trojans’ front-line play on defense, and offense.
We will have the broadcast on 95.7 F.M, and live video streaming on westerniowatoday.com. The pre-game starts at 6:00 p.m. The kick-off is at 7:00 p.m.
