(Clarinda) A Page County inmate died Saturday.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office requested an ambulance at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday for an adult male inmate with a medical condition. The Clarinda Ambulance Service transported the man to the Clarinda Regional Health Center, where he died.
Per Page County Jail policy, the sheriff’s office contacted the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and filed a report with the State Jail Inspector’s Office.
No other information is available, pending the investigation and notification of the inmate’s emergency contacts.
The man’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
