(Adair Co.) A Stuart man was arrested on drug and weapons charges.
The Stuart Police Department arrested Clinton Lewis Casteel Jr, 44, on June 3rd for Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapons, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Drug Tax Stamp Violation, and Drug Trafficking. The charges stem from a report of a fight on June 2nd at 615 SW 7th Street, Apartment #17 as well as the execution of a search warrant on June 3rd at 615 SW 7th Street, Apartment #12. Casteel was held on $25,000 cash or surety bond.
In other activity, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested Mike Ray Crumm, 33, of Omaha, Nebraska, on June 2nd on warrants for Eluding and Driving under Suspension. Crumm was held on $1,000 cash only bond.
Jeremiah Lee David Parcher, 45, of Creston, was arrested June 2nd on three outside warrants. Parcher was transferred directly to meet with Union County.
Geoffrey Laverne McBurney, 35, of Des Moines, was arrested May 30th on a warrant for Driving While Barred. McBurney was held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
The Adair Police Department arrested Gildardo Garcia Sotelo, 42, of Clive, following a traffic stop on May 29th for OWI 1st Offense. Garcia Sotelo was held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.
Clinton Anders, 43, of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested May 30th for Theft 2nd Degree. The arrest stems from a report of a transient who had left from the roadside after holding a sign asking for money and got into the driver’s side of a white ford explorer and drove to the gas pumps at Kum and Go. After a check on the license plates, it was determined the vehicle was stolen. Anders was held in the Adair County Jail on $5,000 cash or surety bond.
Drew Darin Steckelberg, 22, of Adair, was arrested May 30th for Domestic Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Steckelberg was held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.
Samantha J Zoucha, 35, of Bellevue, Nebraska, was arrested May 30th for Domestic Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Zoucha was released on her own recognizance.
The Stuart Police Department arrested Eric Wayne Whitting, 48, following a traffic stop on May 30th for Driving While Barred. Whitting was held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
