(Modale, Iowa) After a boat took on water, a woman was missing and sank on the Missouri River.
Harrison County Communications received a 9-1-1 call at 11:56 p.m. on Sunday to report a boat sinking with one person missing near the 656-mile marker on the Missouri River south of the Remington Boat Landing.
Emergency responders arrived and located a boat rescuing subjects from the river. The parties stated, and authorities confirmed a missing 20-year-old female.
According to the press release from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, recovery efforts are in place to recover the boat and the missing female. The investigation is ongoing.
