(Audubon) The Audubon County Supervisors are moving on from IP Pathways for their technology needs.
The board will now look for a full time IT employee. “It’s a realization that has come to us over a period of time.” Supervisor’s Chairman Doug Sorensen says, “We keep spending more and more money and more and more of our Supervisor’s time trying to understand technology. None of us Supervisors are good IT people so we have a lot to learn and we really need a county advocate for our technology. I think in the long run it will save us money to have someone guide us in the right way.”
The contract with IP Pathways runs out in September and a 90 day termination notice is required. “We have been working with a group of IT professionals from other counties and they have offered to help us do the interviewing because they know the questions to ask.”
They are hoping to have someone hired by July or August.
