(Page Co.) The Page County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident at the intersection of Cherokee Ridge and Highway 2 approximately 1.5 miles west of Clarinda on February 20th.
The investigation showed that a 16-year-old from Clarinda was operating a white 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser eastbound on Highway 2. Chrystle Ann Wichman, 29, of Clarinda, was operating a white 2020 Mercedes van owned by the United States Postal Service and was waiting to turn north into Cherokee Ridge from Highway 2. The teen struck the rear of Wichman’s vehicle. The teen was issued a citation for following too closely.
No injuries were reported by anyone involved in the accident.
A charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
