(Adair Co.) One person was killed and four others were injured in a Semi vs SUV accident in Adair County this (Monday) morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says 27-year-old Jasvir Sood, of Fresno, California, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 36-year-old Milinganyo Bwami, 45-year-old Wabiwa Yungu, a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old, all of Omaha, Nebraska, were transported to Mercy Des Moines by Adair EMS.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on I-80 westbound. A 2021 Freightliner semi, driven by Jasvir Sood, was traveling westbound and collided with the rear end of a westbound 2008 Honda Pilot, driven by Milinganyo Bwami. The Honda came to rest upright in the north ditch. The semi entered the north ditch and rolled onto the driver’s side. Sood was partially ejected.
