(Creston) #11 Atlantic/CAM and #18 Glenwood square off in a regional semi-final at the Regional Dual Tournament at Creston High School on Tuesday. Atlantic/CAM won the Sectional Tournament team title at Central Decatur on Saturday; Creston won the Hawkeye Ten Conference Dual Championship and is ranked #5th in the State.
Atlantic/CAM and Glenwood meet for the third time this season. The Trojans won the first meeting on December 2, 45-31, and 49-22 on January 20. Atlantic/CAM Head Coach Tim Duff says both teams know their opponent well, and it will be critical to stay focused and not overlook someone they’ve beaten before.
Atlantic/CAM finished second to Winterset in the Sectional Tournament one year ago and didn’t get invited to the Regional Duals.
#11 Atlantic/CAM won the team title at the Sectional on Saturday with 263-points, #5 Creston finished second with 238-points. The Panthers will match up against the winner of Atlantic/CAM and #18 Glenwood. Glenwood finished second to Carroll at Harlan last Saturday, 183.5, to 170.
