(Atlantic) On Tuesday night, the Atlantic girl’s basketball team features four new players in the starting lineup when the Trojans take the floor for the season opener at home against Denison/Schleswig.
Junior Jada Jensen is the lone starter returning this season. Jensen is coming off a solid sophomore season at point guard, and she started in 22 of the Trojan’s 23 games, scored 250 -points, and averaged 10.8 points per game.
Atlantic Head Coach Dan Vargason runs down the starting five for tomorrow night’s season opener.
Coach Vargason is most impressed with his team’s aggressive play during the Trojans preseason scrimmages.
Coach Vargason says the squad still has some things to clean up, but they are ready to play for the most part. He says the team is further along than he thought they would be at this point, with an entirely new roster. He says they are moving forward, and he is excited at what he’s seen so far.
The tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. The game is broadcast on 95.7 FM and live-streamed on westerniowatoday.com.
