(Atlantic) The Atlantic Boys’ basketball team started practice this past Monday under new Head Coach Derek Hall, who takes over the program following Jeff Ebling, who accepted the Head Boys’ Basketball job at Indianola.
Coach Hall welcomes back two players last season that logged a lot of varsity minutes. Seniors Ethan Sturm and Dayton Templeton.
Templeton averaged 10-points per game, and Sturm averaged eight points per outing. Junior Caden Andersen and sophomore Colton Rasmussen saw some court time as well.
Coach Hall mentions several other prospects that will add depth to the squad.
Hall also welcomes back role players Lee Houser and Seth Roenfeld.
The Trojans open up the season at Glenwood as part of a Girl/Boy doubleheader on December 7. The initial opener set for November 30 at Creston has been moved to Monday, January 24.
