(Oakland) Riverside’s Eduardo Mosqueda-Cruz is the Week 7 winner for KSOM/KS95.7’s Unsung Hero.
The senior was asked about his role on the team. “Man I would would say I’d be a supporter for the team…I just like to be out there and support my team and try my best to make the others better so they can succeed.”
The way he does that is by, “Playing as hard as I can and bringing good energy. Everyone there considers themselves as family and I’m willing to work hard just to improve.”
Mosqueda-Cruz comments “It’s been a huge change since Darrell Frain came to the team. We weren’t winning as much when Frain wasn’t there and then once Frain came in everything started to change up. Everybody started going faster and playing better and doing their job. I give him his props. He just makes players go hard.”
He is a lineman and says he enjoys the hard hitting involved with that role. Their goal this season is to get to the dome, “There are some good teams around here, but we just need to play as hard as we can and give our best effort with everyone doing their job and everything will take care of itself.”
In addition to football he’s also involved in wrestling and track. He says high school sports have taught him to give it his all and that will translate in life.
