(Red Oak) Montgomery County first responders assisted two disoriented people floating down the East Nishnabotna River.
Red Oak Fire Chief John Bruce says a 9-1-1 call came in at around 8:20 p.m. of two individuals not from the area disoriented with their location. A short time later emergency services located the two people along the river near 137th Street. Emergency Crews assisted the two individuals to safety without incident. No one was injured.
The Red Oak Fie Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Montgomery County Emergency Management responded to the scene.
The Red Oak Fire Department thanks the citizens responding with Air-Boats, as well as, the Midwest Regional Dive Team for their activation to this incident.
