(Lewis) This past Saturday, Duane Weirich unveiled his “Home of the Brave” wall at the Remember and Honor event in Lewis. The Weirich’s honored first responders, law enforcement, and veterans at lunch on Saturday, marking the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
Weirich said the wall turned out really good; many people stopped by to look at the wall depicting the history of the U.S., from the past presidents, the evolution of farming to entertainers that impacted America.
The wall is now displayed outside the Gerald Ford Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for ArtPrize 2021.
Duane Weirich’s entry is one of eight displayed outside the Gerald Ford Museum at one of the world’s most-attended public art events. More than one thousand artists worldwide will display their newly created works all over downtown Grand Rapids and have the chance to earn cash prizes.
ArtPrize 2021 is held from September 16 to October 3.
