(Atlantic) Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken says the Olive Street Bridge project is wrapping up and is expected to finish on time. Construction on the bridge one mile south of Interstate 80 began in late May.
Wolken says completion is slated for September 17th or the week of September 20. “We’re going to pour some bridge approaches this week, ” said Wolken. “The approaches will need to be cured out, and the guardrail installed. We’re looking at the end of next week or early in the week of the 20th for completion. It’s on schedule and working on the finishing pieces.”
Wolken says the bridge construction project on Boston Road is also nearing completion. “I don’t have an opening date on this, but it’s going to be similar to Olive Street.”
The box culvert project on Indian Creek Road north of Highway 6 is slated for completion in mid-October. The same goes for the work on Victoria Road in conjunction with Adair County.
