(Creston) A single-vehicle accident in Union County lands one person in the hospital with minor injuries.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reports that the accident happened at 8:00 a.m. on 130th Street and Green Valley Road. The driver, 25-year old Sarah Jane Mack of Creston, was taken to Greater Regional Hospital in Creston with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say an eastbound 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by Mack ran the stop sign at the T-intersection of 130th and Green Valley Road. The car entered the ditch, striking a tree before resting at the bottom of the ditch. Mack told Officer she didn’t see the stop sign due to the sun shining in her eyes.
The Toyota received $12,000 damage.
