(Atlantic) The Atlantic football team is looking to fill some open linebacker spots.
Carter Hadley and Jake Wailes, both two-year starters, will anchor a couple of those spots. Hadley recorded 47.5 tackles last season, 26 solos, and 4 tackles for loss. Wailes mustered 69 tackles, 46 solos, 9 tackles for loss, and 3 solos.
Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer says several other players are auditioning for the job. Those prospects are junior Eric Albert, sophomore Skylar Burcham, and senior Roland Hinman. Coach Brummer says Garrett Stetzel is also getting some reps at linebacker.
Last season’s defensive line consisted of all seniors, so Coach Brummer is looking to restock the entire defensive unit. He has several prospects, including players who will play both ways at least at the start of the season.
