(Glenwood) The Mills County Sheriff’s Office arrested nine people on drug charges from August 2 through August 22.
On Sunday, Mills County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the stop, deputies conducted a probable cause search resulting in the recovery of a handgun with a 50 round magazine and marijuana. The male driver, 18-year old Kyrell Deshawn Wells, of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and carrying weapons. Wells was also flagged as a known gang member on probation out of Nebraska.
On August 19, Mills County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle resulting in the recovery of approximately 35 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The male driver, 47-year old David Allen Ryan of Shenandoah, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. The female passenger, 39-year old Bobbi Jo Christo, also of Shenandoah, was arrested for possession of marijuana.
On August 17, Mills County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation. During the stop, the vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Omaha. Deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, resulting in a stolen handgun and methamphetamine recovery. The male driver, 35-year old Richard Joseph Moreno of Omaha, was arrested for 2nd – degree theft, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of methamphetamine.
On August 13, Mills County Deputies conducted a narcotics investigation involving a Harley Davidson motorcycle with two occupants. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the motorcycle. The two occupants, 37-year old Samantha Jo Abraham and 43-year old Matthew Terrill Ollie, both from Council Bluffs, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
On August 8, Mills County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, resulting in methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills. The male driver, 33-year old Lorenzo Bernard Cobb, of Hastings, Nebraska, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills.
On August 6, Mills County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the stop, deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle resulting in the recovery of methamphetamine. The male driver, 48-year old Dana Brooke Burkholder III, of Omaha, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and driving while revoked.
On August 2, Mills County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for the driver having an active arrest warrant. During the traffic stop, deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle resulting in the recovery of approximately 8.5 grams of methamphetamine and a handgun. The male driver, 37-year old Peter James Zelenka of Omaha, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, weapons charges, and an active Mills County Warrant.
