(Atlantic) Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken says completing the Olive Street bridge construction project north of Atlantic is on schedule. Construction on the bridge one mile south of Interstate 80 began in late May. Wolken says the original contract contained 85 working days.
“The project was originally scheduled to be open the week after Labor Day, and we’re still on that schedule,” said Wolken. “As of now, the road will be open before the beginning of harvest.”
Wolken says crews poured the bridge deck this past week and forming bridges rail for possible installation next week.
