(Audubon) Audubon’s T-Bone Celebration will get underway this Friday.
The 71st Annual Operation T-Bone is back on track after a year away. Audubon Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Molly Armentrout says, “I think they are really excited because we didn’t get to have it last year, so there are big expectations for this year.”
The festivities start at 5 p.m. Friday with Albert’s Old-Fashioned Picnic and they’ll continue throughout the weekend. “Friday night they are having Figure 8 races at the Audubon County Fairgrounds and the fireworks are after that. In the morning a we have a yoga class at 8:00 a.m. that’s new this year. We have lots and lots of vendors, I think more than we have ever had. There are a lot of kids activities going on.”
The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. There will be afternoon entertainment on the stage and a beer garden open from noon to midnight and Oreo Meatwagon will be the featured entertainment starting at 8:00 p.m. Sunday brings a breakfast fundraiser and open house for the Audubon Fire Station from 7:00 a.m to noon.
