(Des Moines) The National Weather issued a Heat Advisory to all counties south of Interstate 80 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. this evening. Forecasters expect the heat index to reach 107 degrees.
The extended forecast features a cool down into the low 80’s with a good chance for thunderstorms on Friday night.
