(Des Moines, IA) — A nationwide manhunt is underway for a trio that police say have been stealing from the dead in nine states, including Iowa. Thirty-three -year-old Drake Milam, his girlfriend 32-year-old Porsche Bancroft, and her mother, Angela Garrett, are accused of breaking into mausoleums and niches that hold cremated remains. Corporal Cole Brazee with the Orange County Sheriff in Florida says there are dozens of cases.
The three suspects are from the Indianapolis area. There are active warrants for their arrests and a 5-thousand dollar reward.
