(Adair) Two people have died in the crash involving a car and a semi on Wednesday near the 76-mile marker on eastbound Interstate 80 in Adair County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 7:52 p.m. on Wednesday. Authorities say 85-year old Harold Willey and 68-year old Faye Frolic, succumbed to their injuries. Pamela Willey, 68, was injured in the accident.
According to the report, an eastbound 2013 Toyota Camry driven by Pamela Willey rear-ended an eastbound 1999 Peterbilt semi disabled in the roadway from a crash that happened just a few minutes before this one. The car came to rest partially under the semi-trailer.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Adair Police Department, and numerous local rescue units assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.
