(Creston) Six people suffered minor injuries in a head-on Collison in Creston.
Creston Police says the accident happened at around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday on Highway 34.
The injured people are 18-year old Alexandria Renee Whitfield, 33-year old Kayla Michelle Harris, 13-year old Aundreah Whitfield, 13-year old Madysen Ford, 12-year old Keyona Robb, and 13-year old Olivia Robb.
Police say an eastbound 2006 Chevy Impala driven by Whitfield of Creston collided head-on with a westbound 2001 Chevy Tahoe driven by Harris of Creston attempting to turn south onto Abel. The SUV struck a road sign and a brick structure. The Tahoe came to rest on the property of the Iowa Savings Bank.
EMS Ambulance transported the six individuals, all of Creston, to the Greater Regional Hospital.
Police cited Whitfield with Operating a Motor Vehicle with an expired license and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Officers cited Harris for Failure to Yield upon making a Left Turn.
The Creston Fire Department assisted Police Officers at the scene.
