(Griswold) Griswold won the Bedford Softball Tournament Championship on Saturday.
Three Tiger pitchers contributed to the team title. Dakota Reynolds pitched a five-hitter and struck out five batters in the 15-3 win over East Mills. Karly Millikan tossed a one-hit shutout and struck six hitters in the 10-0 win over Bedford, and Brenna Rossell struck out eight batters and allowed six hits in a 7-4 win over Stanton.
Anna Kelley and Makenna Askeland led the Tigers at the plate. Kelley finished the tournament with six hits, including one double and five RBI, stole two bases, and scored three runs. Askeland drilled five hits, including two home runs (one a grand slam), three singles, eight RBI, and scored three times. Brenna Rossell had a double, three singles, three RBI, and scored three runs, and Erynn Peterson was a terror on the base paths with an impressive seven stolen bases and scored seven runs.
