(Council Bluffs) Atlantic downed St. Albert 13-2 in six innings in a Hawkeye Ten Conference baseball game at St. Albert on Thursday.
Atlantic pitcher Wyatt Redinbaugh had a solid performance on the mound. He threw 68 pitches in six innings of work, gave up one earned run on five hits, and struck out two batters.
“This was a good win against an excellent St. Albert team loaded with good hitters,” said Brummer. “I am happy with the way the guys performed today.”
The Trojans had a solid night at the plate scoring 13 runs on 13 hits. Brendan Atkinson hit a two-run homer; Grant Sturm went 3-4 at the plate with an RBI, Bodie Johnson, 3-5, Garrett McLaren, 2-4, Gunner Kirchhoff, 2-4 with 2 RBI, and Wyatt Redinbaugh 2-4 with a double and three RBI.
Atlantic hosts Creston in a doubleheader on Monday at Griswold.
