(Fremont Co.) A Papillion woman was arrested on numerous charges following a traffic stop in Fremont County Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies with the Fremont County K9 Unit stopped a 2008 Honda Civic for a traffic violation and an excessive number of passengers in the vehicle, near the 24-mile marker southbound Interstate 29 at approximately 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday.
The vehicle was discovered to be stolen out of Papillion, Nebraska.
The driver, Emma Faith Smith, age 18 of Papillion, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Owner’s Consent, Possession of Marijuana, two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Interference with Official Acts, and several traffic offenses.
Smith is being held at the Fremont County Jail on a $3,900 bond.
The Iowa State Patrol assisted the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office with the call.
