(Anita) On Monday, the CAM School Board agreed to share a Business Manager with Nodaway Valley. CAM originally shared with the Atlantic School District, but Atlantic opted out of the agreement for the next school year.
CAM and Nodaway Valley Superintendent Paul Croghan says the agreement is a 50/50 share at the cost of $58,328.00. “Both districts share superintendents already so this will make communication much easier,” said Croghan. “Not saying the communication was bad before, but I think it will help get things done in a more timely and efficient manner.”
The CAM School Board also set a Public Hearing for April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Superintendent‘s Office for the 2021/2022 School Calendar. The first day of school is scheduled for August 23, graduation is May 15, and the last day of school is May 25, 2022.
In other actions, the School Board approved a 21 member school facilities committee. This process started one year ago following a study by Boyd Jones and Alley Poyner Macchietto. The committee will meet to review the process and set dates for community meetings. Croghan says input from the community will be vital for the district in making sound decisions for the student’s future education.
