(Winterset)Winterset has crowned seven champions and scored 266 points to win the team title at the Class 2A Section 6 Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Winterset. The Huskies advanced ten to the district meet.
Winterset’s sectional Champions were Kasen Cochran (106), Zeke Hoven (113), Keegan Jensen (132), Jensen Kaldenberg (138), Tyler Brown (152), Riley Hoven (182), and Dugan Tolley (285). Travis Allen (120), Jake Porter (126), and Brady Barringer (170) qualified runner-up.
Atlantic/CAM advanced eight wrestlers to the district meet and finished second with 238-points. The Trojans had four champions and qualified four more as a runner-up. Sectional champs include Ethan Follman (120), Joe Weaver (126), Brian South (145), and Kadin Stutzman (170). Qualifying runner-up included; Clevi Johnson (106), Tanner O’Brien (152), Payton Fewson (182), and Tristan Dorscher (285).
#2 Wyatt Appleseth of Panorama won the (160)-pound title, and teammate Cooper Andersen topped the field at (220).
