Norman Richard Tague, 90, passed away December 9, 2020 in Eldora, Iowa. He was born on October 10, 1930 in Montieth, Iowa to Everet and Gertrude (Fisher) Tague. He graduated from Guthrie Center, Iowa in 1949. While in high school, he participated in football, basketball and track. He was a member of the National Guard Service in 1949. In 1959, he worked at and was promoted to manager of United Food Stores in Guthrie Center. In 1964 (after the death of his father) to 1983 he took over Tague Tire & Oil. In 1995, he took his trip of a lifetime to Africa.
Norman was married to Beverly Darlene (Phippen) Tague from 1951 to 1982. To this union three children were born; Gary (Rebecca) Tague from Rockford, IL, Cindy (Cletus) Steensen from Adair, IA, and Kevin Tague from Chatam, VA.
Norman also leaves behind several grandchildren, including Tara (Joel) Kempfer of Argyle, TX, Nick (Kirstine) Tague of Colony, TX, Heather (Cody) Curry of Adel, IA, Heidi (Adam) Kline of Bondurant, IA, Ryan (Amber) Steensen of Guthrie Center, IA, Troy (Mandi) Steensen of Sioux City, IA, Kyle Tague of Jacksboro, TN, Kristine Tague of Mechanicsville, VA. Step grandchildren, including Jamie (Jimmy) Scott of Clarksville, TN, Josh (Kim) Soldin, Loves Park, IL, Mike (Amanda) Bohn of Rockford, IL. Great grandchildren, including Luke & Alex Curry, Gabe & Zach Kline, Kelsie, Gavin, Eden, Bradyn & Kinley Steensen, Raven, Brennan & Landon Tague, Caden Bohn, Chance Brockway, Skyler, Ashton, Devin & Layne Kundo, Donovan, Dominic, Dino & Daviana Soldin, Jacob & Ethan Tague, Kaden, Kai & Reagan Kempfer, Cain & Brii Lander.
Norman is also survived by one brother Kenny Tague of Johnston, IA. He was proceeded in death by father Everet Tague, mother Gertrude (Fisher) Tague, sister Winifred Gurwell, and one grandchild Tiffany Tague.
A private memorial service will be held at Twigg Funeral Home in Panora, IA on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:00am.
