(Atlantic) The Atlantic Chamber Ambassadors visited the Evangelical Free Church on Thursday to learn about the annual Operation Christmas Child program.

This project has touched the lives of more than 178 million children in more than 150 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox dating back to 1993.
Osegard says community members are asked to fill a shoebox and drop it off at the Atlantic E-Free Church, at 1 East 22nd Street, from Monday, November 16, through November 23. Osegard says, go to the Samaritan’s Purse website at https://www.samaritanspurse.org/, to learn how to pack a shoebox with items to include and items not to include due to certain customs. She says due to COIVD-19, the boxes will be collected in a drive-thru manner this year.
The Evangelical Free Church distributes specific shoeboxes to the community; individuals fill the shoeboxes with various items like school supplies, reusable water bottles, clothing, toys, etc. Individuals choose to pack the box for either a girl or boy between three age groups: 2-4, 5-9, and 10-14. Individuals can also virtually “Pack a box” and donate by visiting the https://www.samaritanspurse.org/.
