Atlantic Girls 8th at Dallas Center-Grimes Cross Country Meet

(Dallas Center-Grimes) Atlantic finished eighth out of 11 teams at the Dallas Center-Grimes Cross Country meet on Tuesday.

Taylor McCreedy led the Trojans with a 13^th place finish. The senior ran the course in a time of 20:18.00. Ava Rush finished 26^th, Claire Pellett, 40^th, Maddie Botos, 44^th, Addie DeArment, 50^th, Faith Altman, 66^th, and Gwen Irlmeier, 68^th.

Ainsley Erzen, of Carlisle, won the individual title in a time of 18:44, Megan Sterbenz, of Dallas Center-Grimes, second, 19:06, Joey Werling, Indianola, third, 19:12, Emily Naughton, Indianola, fourth, 19:38, and Breelie Mauro, of Norwalk, fifth, 19:48.

Dallas Center-Grimes won the team title with 48-points, Norwalk, second, 86, Indianola, third, 87, Carlisle, fourth, 122, Johnston, fifth, 140, Des Moines, Christian, sixth, 168, Van Meter, seventh, 170, Atlantic, eighth, 173, Creston, ninth, 200, Winterset, tenth, 292, and Kuemper, Catholic, Carroll, eleventh, with 297.
