(Underwood) A talented Underwood football team hosts Atlantic in a non-district contest on Friday night.
The Eagles finished the 2019 campaign with an 8-2 record averaging 41-points per game behind the leadership of Nick Ravlin, who threw for 2,481 yards. Nick graduated, but his replacement is younger brother Alex. Underwood Head Coach Nate Mechaelson says Alex is just another Ravlin in the program.
Coach Mechaelson says Alex started preparing at the end of the 2019 season.
The Eagles receiving corp would give any new quarterback a leg up. Returners include, Blake Hall, Collin Brandt, Quinn Kuck, and Brayden Wollan. The quad combined for 1,018 receiving yards. Wollan led the way with 46 catches for 909 yards, 11 touchdowns and averaged 19.8 yards per reception.
When asked about the match-up with Atlantic, Coach Mechaelson has relied on film study to prepare for the Trojans.
The game starts at 7:00 p.m. We will have the broadcast on 95.7 FM. The pre-game starts at 6:00 p.m.
