(Mills County) Two Deputies were injured while pursuing a vehicle in Mills County Thursday night.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 9:17 p.m. on 357th Street near Epperson Avenue. Authorities say a Mills County Deputy identified as 22-year old Jacob Spunagle, and a Montgomery County Deputy identified as 25-year old Andrew Askey, were injured in the crash.
The Deputies were each chasing a suspect vehicle northbound on 357th Street and crashed in the same area due to heavy gravel dust as they approached the curve for Epperson Avenue.
Silver City Rescue transported Spunagle to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and Red Oak Rescue transported Askey to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
