(Creston) Police arrested a Union County man following a single-vehicle accident in Creston.
Creston Police say the accident happened at around 1:11 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln, Kirby, and Russell Streets.
According to the report, a southbound 1993 Ford Ranger driven by 53-year old Joel Allen Weeks, was making a left-hand turn onto Russell Street and struck a light pole. Weeks left the scene. Witnesses provided the driver’s description to Police, and they tracked Weeks down two blocks east of the accident.
Officers arrested the Creston man for OWI, 3rd offense, driving while barred, registration violation, and failure to maintain control.
