(Atlantic) Severe Storms hit southwest Iowa this morning. The National Weather Service says 60 mph wind gusts were reported in the Atlantic Area. (Below are photos of damage in Atlantic). 65 mph wind gusts were reported near Guthrie Center, 60 to 64 mph wind gusts near Harlan, 58 mph winds gusts near Logan, and 67 mph winds gusts were reported near Eppley Airfield in Omaha. Wind damage was also reported by a resident in Gray. There are branches littering Main Street and several large tree branches cover the north end of the schoolyard, but no damage to the playground equipment. We’ll keep you updated as information comes in.
