
(Maryville, MO) The Northwest Missouri State University track and field team competed in the Maverick Invitational and the Nebraska Tune Up today in their last meet before the MIAA Championship Indoor Meet.
Women’s Events
Hiba Mahgoub placed second in the 200m dash with a new program record time of 23.89, an automatic qualifying time. Jordan Hammond placed third in the same event with a time of 24.89.
Moe Bianchi placed fifth in the 400m dash with a time of 58.41.
Jaleesa McWashington placed third in the triple jump with a jump of 37-04.0.
Delanie Dykes placed fifth in the 800m run with a time of 2:17.13.
The women’s 4x400m relay team of Hiba Mahgoub, Addie Palser, Moe Bianchi, and Aliyah Simmons won the event with a provisional qualifying time of 3:50.89.
Men’s Events
Josh Warner placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 52-07.5.
Blake Morgan tied for third in the high jump with a mark of 6-07.
Marcus Klein (Harlan) won the long jump with a jump of 23-03.5.
Gavyn Monday placed fourth in the 400m dash with a time of 49.45.
Omar Austin won the 200m dash with a provisional qualifying time of 21.55.
The distance medley relay team won the Maverick Invitational with a time of 10:04.78.
Cliff Nichols placed second in the 800m run at the Maverick Invitational with a time of 1:54.55.
