(Des Moines) The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for southwest Iowa from Midnight tonight through noon on Thursday.
Forecasters say wind chills will plummet to 30-below zero and it’s possible that wet or slushy roads could flash freeze, creating icy spots on roadways on Wednesday night.
The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30-minutes. Use caution while traveling and wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
A Winter Weather Advisory for Crawford and Carroll counties. The National Weather Service says light snow and blowing snow and wind chills as low as 35-below zero could cause hazardous driving conditions.
