(State) The Iowa Football Coaches Association released information on their State Coaches of the Year and Regional Coaches of the Year on Friday.
Audubon head coach Sean Birks is the State Coach of the Year for 8-Player. The IKM grad led the Wheelers to a state runner-up finish this past season. Audubon finished with a record of 12-2.
Other award winners from the area included Chris Mohr (Coon Rapids-Bayard), Cody Matthewson (ACGC), and Justin Kammrad (Lewis Central). Mohr is the 8-Player Region 2 Coach of the Year. Matthewson is the Regional Coach of the Year for Class A Region 2. Kammrad was named Class 3A Region 2 Coach of the Year.
